Communication is essential in all works, but given the nature of the build and the use by emergency vehicles, patients and visitors to the hospital, it is of utmost importance. Advance preplanning meetings were held weekly with clients and stakeholders to ensure A&E traffic flow was maximised at all times.
Informative signage has been a vital means of communication with the public. Keeping all visitors and staff updated has added to the success of this project so far.
As the build continues, we will be adapting the road layouts closer to the completion date, which will remove the need for any temporary traffic restrictions.
